The return of DVORAK
No, I’m not referencing a return of Blake’s 7.
All you people using a QWERTY keyboard, you don’t know what you’re missing. And you don’t seem to care. That’s why even when I’ve told you that a DVORAK keyboard can make you more productive and attractive to women that you stick to a QWERTY.
Still, when I moved to Zurich, I had to suffer with a Swiss-German keyboard. You know, QWERTZ. Even all the useful keys like ?, ! and even + have been hijacked and need some strange right-alt key combination to get them to work.
However, I managed to acquire a Swedish keyboard, which helped somewhat - at least the Y and Z were in the right place. But even better…I bought some DVORAK keyboard stickers off the web and converted the Swedish layout. Ooh, it’s soooo nice being home again. And there’s the added bonus of no-one hotdesking in your space because they can’t use your interface.
You see, it’s the little things in life…
